Norcal Adventure Racing Series has arrived. The race series will be produced by a Bay area based race production company that has AR extraordinaire Rich Brazeau leading the charge. This guy has raced in some of the toughest races in the world including: Eco-Challenge, Raid Gauloises, Primal Quest, Southern Traverse and other big events. As well, Brazeau acted as the CEO of Primal Quest from 2005 to 2006.
Per the site they are shooting for 5 events in 2008, starting with an 8-12 hour race on March 15, 2008. They are slated to have one 24 hour event and it should be interesting to see how the cards fall.
I am glad to see the void being filled and will do my best to field a DART-nuun team for any of these races that the calendar allows. Northern California has some spectacular terrain to race in and the competitors out of the Bay Area are always good people to be around. Looking forward to it!
