This weekend was the first race of 2007 and we kick started the season with a bang! Glenn, Arron, Georgia and myself started the race at 8 am and crossed the finish line in 3 hours 24 minutes in 1st place. We covered a lot of ground in the snoqualmie area, saw a lot of familiar faces and had a great time. This was a great way to start the season and had a lot of fun involved with it.Saturday night we stayed at the Hyak lodge and got a chance to hang out with a few of the regional racers, watch the Primal Quest video and just chat about racing. We strategized pre-race and decided to bring some light weight polyethylene sleds that made for a fun descent from the ski hill. Glenn navigated us almost perfectly through the course and we were all smiles from start to finish.
The quads are felling it the day after and I am ready to get back at it this week. We are starting to ramp up our trainings for Baja and the team is really starting to get excited about 2007.

I ate about half of a flask of Hammer gel while racing to add some calories to the equation and that seemed to keep the body going for the 3+ hours.
